Hello Jason,

Could it be an SN that you see at the end of your numbers? If so, that is a Standard Number edition. The link below will take you to our various editions and give more information on them. You should be able to refer to your certificate of authenticity to tell you what edition you have. From what you provided, you have number 351 out of 1155 that will be made in your size and edition.

As far as the trident on the back, sounds like it had a sketch that was done to it at some point in time. Also sounds like it was signed. This could have been done at an event that a gallery held.

Hello Adam,

It could be a piece that a previous owner had framed and they had the nameplate put under the glass on the matting. As to the nameplate you see, perhaps they had lost the original nameplate for this piece and had one made when the had the piece framed.

I have a G/P that I recently purchased but it doesn’t have paperwork with it and it’s plaque doesn’t look like any I’ve seen before. It’s plaque is larger and under the glass on the matting rather than on the white trim. It has all the right marks otherwise. I’ve got “The Mountain Chapel” Any thoughts?

I bought 3 Thomas Kinkade paintings with COA’s attached. All 3 were professionally framed. One of the frames has an art label attached that has the name of the painting. There are markings on the liner that indicates to me that the other 2 frames had them at one time. I was told by the framer that these plates come from the company. Can you buy replacements?

We have a little mermaid we bought back in 2012, and it has an SW at the end of the 351/1155. What does that stand for? Also it has a trident on the back with a signature.

You could reach out to them and see if they would be able to give you a value on the piece, http://www.bradfordexchange.com Or you would need to reach out to an appraiser in your area that can do appraisals on jewelry and have an appraisal done on it for the value of the piece.
